When using the Oovvuu platform by default there will be no restrictions out side of the content rights on the video assets that you will see.
If you wish to set organisation level preferences so that the members or your organisation can only view video assets from select providers you will need to set the organisation level Search Preferences. This can be done to localise the video assets, only take providers who provide genre relevant assets, block content from providers who you do not wish to see or many other reasons.
NOTE: these are outside of the content rights, for more information on the content rights that providers use. Please read Content Rights Management - Publisher Level Blocking
Setup
Start by navigating to your organisation, you can do this by
- clicking on settings in the bottom left
- using the organisation filter on the top right you can find your organisation
Once you have found your organisation you will be able to use the tabs to open the Search Preferences panel.
List Types
You will need to choose your list type, this will determine the rules for how the search preferences will work.
White List
A white list means that only the selected providers will be shown when searching for video assets in the Oovvuu platform. All other providers will be excluded if they are not on this list, even as new providers are added your organisation will not see them.
This type of list is good for organisations who have a very strict list of partnerships or sources of information that they wish to use.
Black List
A black list is a list that will exclude only the providers that are listed, all video assets from these providers will be excluded.
This type of list is good for those wanting to block only certain providers but they will see new content and providers as they enter the system.
NOTE: once a list type is set, it can only be changed once all the providers are removed from the list.
Adding and Removing Providers
Once your list type is set you are able to add and remove providers from the list.
Adding Providers
Using the search box, start typing the name of the provider you want to add to the list. Once you have found the provider, click the ADD button
Removing Providers
To remove a provider, simply click the remove button on the right of the provider you wish to remove.
