What ad specs does Oovvuu use?

Site Served Specs

• Refer to any of the file spec (Low or Med or High) below
• File size: 30MB maximum
• A click through URL or click tracking must be supplied (The video must be clickable)
• Impression Trackers accepted

Third Party Served Specs (VAST)

The following requirements apply to all 3 files above:

• File type: Mp4
• Encoding profile: H.264, Baseline 3.0
• Frame rate: 25fps
• Audio Codec: AAC-LC or HE-AACv1
• Audio Bitrate: 
• 128-192 kbps for AAC-LC 
• 64-128 kbps for HE-AACv1
• Audio level: -24 LKFS (+/- 2.0 dB)
• Delivery type: Progressive
• All assets must be SSL compliant - securely served (https://)

Optional if Publisher has CTV Inventory

Additional recommended specifications for CTV:

• Bitrate: 1000kbps minimum - 5000kbps maximum
• Video File Size: 1.5MB - 30MB
• Audio Codec: AAC-LC

Third Party Served Specs (VPAID)

VPAID creatives allow for users to actively interact with video such as using buttons and extra media within the content, through social sharing or downloading a brochure. All VPAID creatives must be created as per the VPAID specifications set by certified Third Party Vendors.

Deprecation of Flash: As of July 3 2017, almost all major browsers have either turned off and/or restricted the use of Flash in favour of HTML5 as the default media playback option.

Third Party Served Specs

Oovvuu accepts 3 different video files separated by quality – Low, Medium and High.

Important Note: All 3 files can be within the VAST tag delivering VPAID creative, but at least either the low or medium file must be supplied as a minimum.

The following requirements apply to all 3 files above:

Overlays & Companion Ads:

HTML5 overlays(non-linear) and companion ads are not supported.

Interactive:

It is recommended that interactive and click-through elements should not sit within the bottom 40px of the video and interfere with player controls.

3rd Party viewability tracking & completion:

Oovvuu does not guarantee measurement for vendors using Flash based SDKs. All vendors must update to a compliant non-Flash based HTML SDK version and support HTML5/JS based measurement.

Important Information

• The VAST tag MUST contain at least either the Low or Medium file
• Supported Tracking URLs:Impression, Click, Ad Start, Ad Mid Play, Ad End Play
• Required Elements:click through URL, all other tracking URLs are optional
• Accepted Tag Format:All Third Party served ads must be supplied as a VAST 2.0,3.0 or 4.0 formatted tag
• Video controls will be added by Oovvuu and are not modifiable.
• Ads should not place timers, countdown or other user message within the Video Player without approval from Oovvuu
• In order to ensure progressive delivery, all third party served files need to be encoded with their header data at the beginning of the file
• Mid-rolls ads must not exceed 30 seconds in length if unskippable
• Pre-roll ads videos must not exceed 15 seconds in length if unskippable.

Acceptance Policy

• Oovvuu reserves the right to reject / remove any ad that does not meet its creative specifications, contravenes internal guidelines or adversely affects network website performance, other ad placements or user experience.
• Oovvuu reserves the right to remove or request the removal / revision of any creative that is deemed unsuitable or in conflict with our content, audience, commercial objectives or IP, including (but not limited to) requesting the removal of any competitor branding from advertisements.

Timelines & Delivery

• All material must be delivered at least two (2) working days prior to campaign launch to ensure technical compatibility and internal concept approval.
