The Compass web application allows for the creation of video assets within a providers video collection.
Accessing Video Uploads
To access the video uploads you must have either the role of Uploader or be an Administrator of your organisation. (see Video Uploads - Roles and Permissions). Once you have the required permissions you will see the Upload Video button on the Video library screen.
Creating the Video
Provider Collection
This will be the collection that you wish to place the video into, this means that the Content Rights will be applied to the video and it will appear under this video collection.
NOTE : the term collection here is the set of videos belonging to the provider, this is not the same as the collection for playback on a publishers site.
Uploading the Asset
You are able to upload the video asset video either dragging and dropping the video file from the file explorer on your local machine, or by clicking on the upload button in the then searching for the video file to upload.
NOTE: the file extension of the video must match the file format. For example if you have an mp4 formatted file then the file name must end with ".mp4"
Uploading the Thumbnail
Just like the video asset, you are able to use either the drag and drop functionality or the upload button to locate the file that you are going to use for the thumbnail of the video.

if you are typing in the genres you must press enter after you have entered each one. |

Saving
Once the video and thumbnail have been uploaded and the mandatory fields of title and description have been entered you will be able to save.
Any errors will be reported in the bottom right of the screen through the standard error popup.
